Russell Ingall V8 Supercar driverI had the pleasure of touring in a Swagman in 2007 and apart from being a safe and smooth drive — I call it the Bentley of motorhomes — it is just luxury on wheels.
Fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly A new breed of motorhome, the RV2801 from Swagman Motorhomes
The whole focus of the development of the latest model from Swagman, the RV2801, was to produce a more fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly motorhome.
In development for over 12 months, the stylish RV2801 is a complete change from the previous Swagman 28 ft series, featuring features world-first engineering and technology such as its one-piece carbon fibre/kevlar body.
The patented ARMOUR-SHELL™ body is lighter and eight times stronger than traditional materials used in the industry.
By developing the innovative composite body, a lot of weight has been taken out of the vehicle, making Swagman Motorhomes extremely fuel efficient.
Neil Ingram Managing Director of Swagman MotorhomesWith Swagman Motorhomes the combined features and technology of the body and chassis provide the vehicle with an unbelievable fuel economy of around 14-16 litres per 100 kilometres.
The purpose built lightweight Motorhome chassis is a space frame design with six air bag suspension & ABS combining to ensure a soft & smooth ride, just like driving a car.
Unlike most 28 ft motorhomes, the RV2801 has a rear mounted International Maxxforce5 V6 diesel engine and 5-speed Allison transmission. The engine is Euro 5 / 2010 compliant for Australian vehicle emission standards.
Next Generation style Luxury styling and quality fixtures
When you step inside the RV2801 you'll enjoy aesthetics that are more in line with the what you'd expect from the styling of a luxury car or motor yacht.
Like all the models in the Next Generation range of luxury motorhomes from Swagman, the styling and interior of the RV2801 sets a new standard for luxury motorhomes.
If you haven't been inside one, you've never experienced just how good life on the road can be.
The RV2801 features a panoramic windscreen and an ergonomically designed wrap-around dash.
With electric leather seating and integrated seatbelts, full colour touch screen GPS and reversing camera, driving and the RV2801 is a simple pleasure.
The motorhome is fully air-conditioned and has ample storage room with a full sized pantry and oversized wardrobe. Solid timber cabinetry and plush carpeting have been used throughout.
Your home away from home features a lounge / kitchen area, a Queen sized bed and a bathroom with a full sized shower, toilet and large mirror and vanity.
All Swagman Motorhomes come with a five year structural warranty, a three year bumper to bumper warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance, throughout Australia.
Mr Ingram said already pre orders have been strong as the 28 ft series is one of our most popular models.
